The story so far ! ! ! !
You may have heard on the grapevine that I have had a bit of a 'trauma' over the past few months, heart attack, angiograms, stenting surgery, more angiograms, further surgery and several appearances at various rehabilitaion centres, thankfully all now behind me.
Throughout the time, I have had a goal to focus on to aid my recovery that is now becoming a reality. I will be taking part in The 'Bupa' Great North Run [with the blessing of the consultant] on September 20th in Newcastle.
It is my goal to finsh the half marathon [13 miles] not with a world record breaking time, but to cross the finishing line, and in doing so, help support the 'Cardiothoracic Centre' in Liverpool, that has literally given me a new lease of life.
If you can afford a quid [or two] to help me raise money for the rehabliltaion centre, I would be most grateful, helping individuals, like myself, back to the best of health.
