Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm just a normal guy who likes to swim, bike, run. Sometimes even on the same day!

Picture it. You've been racing for over six hours; knocked out a 2.4 mile open water swim and cycled 100 miles.

The heat is blistering and there's not a breath of wind. Your legs are screaming "no more", your heart is pounding so hard its threatening to break through your rib-cage, but there's only 12 miles left. Only 12 miles to the finish? No.

To the start of the 26.2 mile marathon - the place where dreams of completing an Ironman triathlon die.

What is The Outlaw Triathlon?

Legend has it that Outlaws roamed the forests of Nottinghamshire robbing from the rich to give to the poor. They were fast and cunning on foot, skillful horsemen and possessed exceptional endurance to outrun the evil sheriff's men.

In modern times, Outlaws swim, bike and run. They undertake the world's toughest one day endurance challenge, and those who complete it are celebrated, even by the Sheriff of Nottingham!

“You can quit and no one will really care….but you will always know.” - John Colins

Outlaws have phenomenal lung capacity and technique to swim across a 2.4mile stretch of the Holme Pierrepont Lake before jumping on to their steeds to speed around Nottinghamshire on two wheels. The fast undulating 112mile cycle route takes them through south Nottinghamshire into the rolling green north of the county and Sherwood Forest.

They cover immense ground, passing parks, parishes and country homes at breathtaking speeds around north Nottinghamshire before returning to Holme Pierrepont to don their running shoes and make for the world famous Trent Bridge and Victoria Embankment. Four laps keep them in close contact with the supporting towns-folk, who will cheer them all the way along their gruelling 26.2 mile marathon run along the river banks to the fabled finish line.

Donating
My chosen charity is Cancer Research UK, which is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Their groundbreaking work has saved millions of lives.

I know that the day of pain which I will subject myself to will be nothing in comparion to those brave enough to be tackling cancer, this thought will aways be in my mind.

Donating just a few pence through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
