This July we'll be cycling around 1650km from Lands End to John O'Groats. We'll climb around 20,000m in total (like scaling Everest more than twice), spend around 100 hours sat on the bike (on a saddle like
this), burn 80,000 calories (10kg's worth), and only have 12 litres of carrying space for the trip (so spare pants will be a luxury).
As part of the challenge we're raising money for SOS Africa. SOS Africa is a small charity that funds the education and care of underprivileged children in Africa, providing them with an education, health care, clothing and better way of life. Privileges that we often take for granted in our way of live, but by donating a small amount, can begin to provide for children in Africa.
1p per 1km (£1 per 100km, which is 4-5 hours cycling) is only £16 for the whole journey, bargain. A small amount to give that can go a long way. And don't be afraid to go higher than 1p per km!
Many thanks for any donations.
