Many of you know me as an overweight, beer drinking monster! this may not change but I'm giving it my best shot!
I've joined "the revolution" that is cycling! my first ride on saturday didn't go too well, 100 yards in the wrong gear, chain off! crash! what have I let myself in for, i asked!
Anyway if that's got you thinking I'm mad and a lost cause! think again, I'm taking part in the Coast 2 Coast Cycle Ride on the 15/05/2009 to raise money for Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure and I'd really appreciate your support.
135 miles in two days, at today's progress it will take me a month! oh well all for a good cause!
I aim to raise £350 for Disabled athletes who are taking part in sport at this summers Special Olympics! £350 will pay for one athlete's specialist care, accommodation and training kit at the week long event. The only event in the country who offer people with learning difficulties the opportunity to realise their dreams!
I understand times are hard, but if just 100 of my friends give just £3.50 then one athlete will have the opportunity of a lifetime!
So please give no more than £3.50 my aim in life is to have 100 friends!
