Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I decided to run the Philadelphia Marathon (26.2 miles) for my brother Raul and all other people dealing with spinal injury. Raul was critically injured on November 16th 2007. He suffered a broken neck as well as a host of other things and is now a quadraplegic, however, we are hopeful of his full recovery.

If Raul had been wearing a seatbelt, he would probably would not be in the condition he is in- please buckle up!

Thank you for your support and prayers, together we can help do our part to make the world a little bit better.

Many thanks!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: FOR US RESIDENTS here is a conversion, £1 is approx $2 so £5 is $10, £10 is $20 etc. Please just do what you can, no matter how small- it all adds up. I did a donation to see exactly what the conversion is- £10 is $19.75 USD Thank you again!
