Thank You for visiting my website, I am running the London Marathon 2008 for WellChild and hope to raise £1,500 in order to support their vital work with children and trying to cure childhood dieseases.
You may not be aware but last year I ran the Flora London Marathon in aid of WellChild. WellChild is a charity that helps fund research into finding cures for some of the most deadly childhood dieseases including cancer, they also provide guidance and support for families through their hot line that allows parents to talk to someone 24 hours a day 7 days a week about any aspect of their child's illness.
As a referee I have pledged for every game that I complete I will donate £10 from every match fee to my target for the London Marathon 2008. I am asking whether you would help me support the vital work that this charity does.
I have been in training for the Marathon for the past 6 months and have set 3 pb's for the last 3 races that I have completed (10 miles, 13.1 miles and 20 miles). 1 week before the marathon I shall also be completing the Paris Marathon for Get Kids Going.
Well Ladies and Gentleman, it is DONE!!! Both the Paris and London marathons have been completed in personal bests for me! I did Paris in 4 hours 9 mins and 15 seconds and then did London 7 days later in 4 hours 18 minutes and 21 seconds! I would like to thank everyone who has donated and remember, my page will still accept donations for another 6 weeks so if you can spare any more money it would be going to an amazing cause!
