One mile swim · 12 March 2008

Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Six years ago I broke my neck in a car accident. I have under half my original arm strength and lung capacity. My aim is to try and swim a mile and my daughter, Annie, is aiming to swim five lengths for every one I do. This is one of the few physical challenges I can try to do unaided.

I believe one day I will walk again

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Spinal Research will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
