Thanks for visiting my sponsorship page!
During the weekend of the 28th August 2009, I am taking part in the Ultra Tour de Mont Blanc. Billed as Europe's toughest footrace, the trail is over 100 miles long, passing through three countries and covering a total ascent of around 9000m rising to altitudes of just under 3000m. The race must be completed in under 46 hours and is a semi-self sufficient single-stage race.
This year, I have decided to raise money for Medecins Sans Frontieres. I believe they carry out amazing work throughout the world in countries often ravaged by war, disaster and disease. You can find out more about their work by clicking here.
The success rate for finishing the UTMB is less than 50%, so I am asking for sponsorship not in the certainty that I will succeed in my venture, but in the safe knowledge that I will train hard and give it 100%. You can see how my training is going by clicking here.
Thanks again for visiting my page.
Phil.
