Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm going to be taking part in Ironman Austria on July 5th 2009. For those of you who don't know about Ironman, this involves a 3.8km swim (2.4miles) followed by a 180km bike ride (112 miles) and then a little marathon (42.2km or 26.2 miles) just to finish the day!

I'm going to be raising money for the Myositis Support Group. Myositis is a rare disease that has directly affected a close member of my family and the support group aims to promote further research into the disease as well as provide assistance to those affected.

I'd be grateful if you could dig deep, and think of me while I am dragging myself around 140.6 miles, not to mention the one year of training that I am going to be doing specifically for this event.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Myositis Support Group gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Im sure all the hard work you are putting in will pay off on race day, im looking forward to cheering you on on race day Donation by Allan Grummitt on 16/03/09
