The Brigitte Trust helped over 200 families last year - the most ever.  Amy and I will be running as a father and daughter team to raise funds for this charity which has meant so much to our family over the years.

Imagine how hard it is to keep a family member at home at the end of their life with little support and even less sleep.  It can be an exhausting and frightening time but you want to do what is best for your loved one and keep them at home amongst familiar surroundings with pets, music and books near at hand and family members and friends visiting when they can.  A trained Brigitte Trust volunteer can offer respite from caring on a regualr basis and lend a listening ear and time to share some of the burden of caring and  fears for the future.  Sometimes just sitting quietly and listening can make a huge difference. 

The Trust is training new volunteers this October,  and we would like to raise enough to train three volunteers with the proceeds from our British 10K run.  Please help us with a generous donation to this charity and help them reach out to more people this Autumn.
