Robin Hood Half/ Full Marathon 2006 · 10 September 2006 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Our dad, Malc Crawley (65) was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer at the end of April 2006.  This was devastating news for all of the family as his doctor had said that he had post-operation heart bypass pain!  Dad had had a triple heart bypass over 15 years ago and we all went through the trauma of whether he was going to survive back then.

So me, my partner Rob and sister Helen decided we wanted to raise awareness of this deadly disease.  None of us have ever done any running so our training has been hard but we are all determined to finish the race and raise money for pancreatic cancer.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Pancreatic Cancer UK will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
