Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, now let me explain why you're going to sponsor me!! I've entered into the Bristol half Marathon (that's 13 odd miles in old money) due to take place on Sunday 14th September. The reason I am attempting this act of stupidity is that in November 2007 I had a microdiscectomy on my back by the good people at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and wanted to raise funds towards fixing the Neuroscience/Surgery department. The men and women I met along the way are without doubt the nicest, courteous and most intelligent group of people I’ve ever met and I would like to do my bit towards helping to make the unit a more attractive place to work. As you can see from the photo, i'm still quite a way away from being in a fit state to get round the course (I’ve been told to do it in less than 3 hours) and therefore could do with the extra motivation. Please give generously and even if it's just for the morbid curiosity of seeing if I survive !! Thanks again and see you at the finish.........
