Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I can tell you that just being interested in my story means a lot to me, but I still need your help so I can raise as much money for Help for Heroes as possible.
On the 12th May this year I entered and completed the UK's first ever Tough Mudder event, held in Kettering Northamptonshire, my home county.
After completing an arduous 12 miles and some 25+ obstacles I crossed the line. With no times to compare to I believed I had acheived a fairly average result.
But, on the 27th June I received an email. This email from Tough Mudder themselves told me I had qualified for World's Toughest Mudder, by acheiving a time fast enough to be in the top 5% of the nearly 9000 people who signed up.
This led to some thinking and inevitably my decision to purchase a ticket to enter the race. So on the 17th and 18th November this year I shall be jetting out to New Jersey USA to enter 'probably the toughest event on the planet'. It consists of an obstacle course between 8-10 miles with around 40 obstacles, the aim is to complete the most laps in 24 hours. Yes, you read that right! I hope to take your support and donations with me.
All the money donated by your kind selves will be going to a charity I care a lot about. Being a serviceman myself it means a lot to see them do so much good work for all the current and ex members of our armed forces, and every single penny is spent on a good cause, so you can give generously knowing you're actually making a difference to somebody's quality of life!
