Last Thursday I dusted off my gloves for the last time and boxed on Incisive Media’s “Square up in the City” show.  In front of 500 industry friends, intermediaries and journalists I boxed Zac “The Educator” Phillips, reigning and undefeated BWCBF Cruiserweight champion, in a 3 round bout in support of the charities, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Kids Gloves.

Why?  Because over the Easter weekend we lost a close family friend to cancer.  Clare, who was only in her 40s, lost her long battle against this terrible disease, leaving a little boy without his mum and a husband without his beloved wife.  Clare's bravery and stoicism was immense and a real inspiration to those who knew her.  God bless you Clare.

As for me, I managed to get through the bout in one piece, raising plenty of cash in the process in memory of a very special person.

Thanks for your support so far and don't be shy - keep the cash coming!
