We are supporting a charity called The Place2Be (http://www.theplace2be.org.uk/) who's mission is to enable therapeutic and emotional support to be provided to children in schools. They help children with problems such as bereavement, family breakdown, domestic violence, trauma and bullying. The consequences of leaving these sort of problems unaddressed can result in things such as poor behaviour, truancy, low academic achievement, exclusion, drug and alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy and involvement in crime. These sort of problems have always been there but now more than ever it's becoming apparent that this kind of help is seriously needed.
