For World Mental Health day (10.10.19) I am hoping to create a selection of musical pieces to help raise funds to support the Sowenna appeal. It is a project aimed at helping young sufferers of mental obstacles in Cornwall. To find out more about this great cause and the impact it will have, continue reading down below. For those of you who just wanna know what you're getting, the promise I am committing to is as follows;

   "If you donate any  amount of money (£2 min. Cus justgiving goes big) towards the cause, between today and whenever this page is cancelled, and supply me with an email to contact you on (send to robshepmus@gmail.com or through instagram: robshepmus confirming that a donation was made - no fibs, Cause that's not cool, and you are cool) I will email you at least 1 mpeg.3 file which will contain no less than 2 minutes of sound. With any luck the final product will be much more than this, but I didn't want to make any promises I couldn't keep. I am hoping to complete 3 songs and release the final article as an ep that will remain on sale and any future money raised through sales will continue to find it's way to causes related to mental health. Please consider supporting, even if it's just to receive a song or two that you may never listen to (but maybe will)"

It is estimated that 1 in 10 young people aged between 5 and 16 have a mental disorder. Most can be treated within the community, but some require a more intensive programme of treatment and care.Currently some of our most ill and vulnerable young people are travelling hundreds of miles away from their family and friends to hospitals in Birmingham, Essex, Kent and Cheshire to access psychiatric treatment.We are delighted that we will soon be in a position to support these young people much closer to home through Sowenna Cornwalls first adolescent mental health unit which is currently being built on the Bodmin Hospital site.
