Hellloooooooo everyone,
I have decided I am going to be running the Cardiff half Marathon this coming October (don’t think I’m cut out for a full marathon quite yet!!). I am running on behalf of YoungMinds who are a fantastic charity involved in raising the awareness of mental health issues in children and young people across the UK.
Don't want to get all preacher like but here are a couple of things to think about:-
· One in three children in every classroom has a diagnosable mental health disorder and that’s just the ones that have been classified
· One in five show signs of an eating disorder
· One in 12 harm themselves
· Two young people kill themselves every day.
As you can all see these are very serious issues, YoungMinds is just one of the many amazing charities involved in raising awareness and helping young people to deal with these kinds of problems.
