About my charity : RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution
The RNLI saves lives at sea. RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. RNLI lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. An average of 22 people are rescued every day from the water, in situations which are often difficult and sometimes dangerous. The RNLI is independent from Government, relying on donations for its income, so can only continue thanks to people like you. The RNLI is a charity, registered in England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

My personal message:

On Friday 11th July six of us are going to attempt the Three Peaks Challenge. This involves scaling the three largest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.

We'll be covering over 27 miles on foot and will be ascending 10,000 feet. Not only that we'll be attempting to complete the challenge, driving and all, within just 24 hours!

Why are we doing this crazy thing you may ask? Well, apart from the thrill of the challenge we're also raising money for the RNLI. One of our team recently lost his brother and two friends in a tragic sailing accident so it is a cause very close to our hearts.
