Story
Hi everyone.
I am competing in this years London marathon as part of a fundraising effort for Regain - the charitable trust for sports tetraplegics. They help loads of people who have received spinal cord injuries get back into leading an active life after a spinal cord injury. They have helped me in the past and continue to help many like myself with financial, emotional and practical help and support on how to cope and move forward after a life changing spinal cord injury.
On the 13th April, just a few short weeks away now, I will be pushing all 26 miles of the London Marathon in my track racing wheelchair to raise money for this charity. My fund raising efforts for Regain will also continue later in september this year with a fund raising hand cycle event across Brazil.
Training for the marathon has been maintained over the last year and is going well. Now I just need to increase my distances again after a Christmas lull and get ready for the big day itself.
Any money you can donate to this cause will make a big difference to someone who has been stopped in their tracks by an unexpected road accident, rugby injury, horse riding accident, diving injury, cliff fall (like myself) or other cause of injury. These are the sorts of things that could happen to you or someone you know out of the blue and without notice. Please help by donating as much as you can afford to the charity that helps those that these terrible accidents happen to. Thanks in advance for your generosity and time,
Rob.
