Roche Centenary Walk for Willow · 24 October 2008

Willow is the only UK charity supporting seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds by providing unique and positive Special Days. Since 1999 Willow has fulfilled more than 23,500 Special Days for young adults living with life-threatening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease and cystic fibrosis.

Story

To mark Roche's 100 years in the UK, a small number of employees, along with a support team, will embark on an overnight walk in early December, non-stop, from Idol Lane in London visiting a number of points where Roche has had offices over the years, ending up at their current offices (Hexagon Place) on Shire Park, Welwyn Garden City the next morning. The walk is approximately 35 miles and will take about 15 hours.

Money raised from this event will go to the Willow Foundation who are Roche's Charity of the Year for 2008.

The Willow Foundation is a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of seriously ill adults aged 16 to 40 by organising and funding a 'special day' of their choice.

Please sponsor us, it would be an amazing end to a fantastic year of fund raising for this great charity.
