Sussex Beacon Half Marathon · 24 October 2008

In August 2016, Depression Alliance merged with Mind, the mental health charity. We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Money you donate here will be used exclusively for services previously run by Depression Alliance, e.g. Friends in Need.

Story

We ran for Luke.....and Luke ran with us.

Sunday 22nd of February saw a sea of orange sweeping its way along Brighton seafront, running for Luke to the cheers of the crowd.  Despite a few sore knees, and a soul destroying uphill section towards the marina, our team all made it home safely, and all wearing big smiles.

Gav went off like a rocket, and was keeping up with elite runners until his calves popped...oops!!  Chris and Jack went flat out, destroyed their knees and now neither of them can walk and are in need of keyhole surgery....nice!!!  And Linda and Annelies gave sterling peerfromances, acheiving personal bests without any injury to themselves.....why are girls so much smarter than boys!!!

We raised an amazing amount for Charity, and thank all of our runners and wellwishers for their tremendous support both towards our cause and for lifting our spirits on the day

You can still donate, so please do.
