Alzheimer's Society - Ben Nevis Challenge 2010 · 28 May 2010 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Time to climb another mountain but this time closer to home!

I am doing this trip for the Alzheimer’s Society to raise money to lead the fight against dementia and any of us who have come into contact with this terrible illness that destroys lives will know that nothing and no one prepares us for it and how to deal with it.  Sadly it seems to be on the increase.

I know it is tough out there these days but if you can spare any donation whatsoever it will all add up and make a difference.

As ever, thank you for your wonderful support and encouragement, without it I would never get off this old arse and do something worthwhile.

Have a brill 2010 , keep well and happy walking!

Roe xx

Alzheimer's Society is committed to defeating dementia through research. We work with the scientific community in partnership with people affected by dementia, and currently invest over £6 million in dementia research.

The Alzheimer's Society research programme provides funding for research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia to improve treatment for people today and to search for a cure for tomorrow.
