Story
Well hello pet..!
The silly Eadington gene has kicked in, and spurred us on to run the Great North Run on Sunday 20th September 2009.
Between us we'll be running a marathon around our native stamping ground (described by the pessimistic - or honest - as 13.1 miles up a hill on a dual carriageway - nice) to raise money for Shelter.
Shelter is the UK's housing and homelessness charity, helping people across the country find and keep a home, and lobbying the Government to implement housing solutions that really work.
For the lowdown on how Shelter helps homeless and badly housed people, visit their website.
Your generosity can make a massive difference to families and individuals up and down the country, especially with the recession creating financial crises for an increasingly enormous number of households.
Decent housing is the basis for a solid family life: emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing as well as a stable school and work life depend on people having somewhere to call home - something so many of us are fortunate to have experienced every day of our lives. Let's put something back in to share this with people who need it.
Thanks for reading, both Shelter and our four legs really appreciate your support!

**EXTRA EXTRA**
If donations total more than £1500, Claire is going to dress as a superhero for the race... and you get to pick which one. If fundraising carries on at the same rate, this will happen, so.. it's up to you!
