Story

On Sunday, 8 May 2011 London Fire Commissioner Ron Dobson will be fulfilling a life-long ambition and taking part in a tandem sky-dive, jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet.

In doing so, the Commissioner would like to raise as much money as possible for an extremely worthwhile charity, Children of Fire. The charity, Africa's first burns charity, works to relieve the effects of poverty and sickness, particularly amongst children with disfigurement resulting from burns injuries. The charity works hard to find such children and then identifies the most expert and appropriate medical skills available. For more information about the good work the charity does, please visit www.childrenoffire.org

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate.
