Hi!

Thanks for visiting my first fundraising page.

Some pals and I thought it would be fun to cycle from Lands End to John O Groats in tandem, not on a tandem but in pairs non stop. We plan to keep the bikes going 24 hours a day from start to finish and aim to complete the trip in the shortest time that we can. (No less than 3 days) 

We will probably complete a series of 50ish mile shifts and we each anticipate completing 5 or 6 shifts during the ride. We are paying for all of the costs associated with the trip ourselves and therefore everything that we raise will go directly to our selected charities.

So 11 September we are off. We are all raising money for different charities and hope to raise as much as possible in our quest.

THe charity, that I am cycling for is Compassion UK Christian Child Development.  This charity does a great work across the world giving children who are living in poverty a chance in life.  My own family, our church and a number of my friends all sponsor children in different parts of the world, and it is great to see the difference that Compassion UK makes in the childrens lives and in the communities where they live.
