Story
Thanks for visiting this page. I leave in October '08 to trek/rough camp in Nepal. We will walk for up to 9 hours a day for a week. My GP has signed a med. cert. reassuringly saying , ;There'll be far more decrepit people than you. So I'll give it my all - this is where you come in. Please take a few minutes and donate to Macmillan and keep me motivated.
So far I've been to car boot sales with donated goods but inclement weather prompted me to focus on jumbles. An appeal in the local paper for jumble resulted in my small home taking on an air of Steptoe and Son. The first jumble raised over £250. Well done all - you know who you are. 2nd jumble raised £167.40. 3rd jumble = £210 thanks to Winchester Growers and S.East farms for their produce which swelled the Bring and Buy table, also the super cake makers in St. Just and , of course the 'helpers'. Spin off from jumble are textiles to hook into rag rugs (profits from them going into the fund) The v. good clothes sale evening, with raffle,( thanks to Crew at Newlyn and Stuarts of Pz. for their donations) raised the grand total of £308. Thank you to all who turned up and to Jill for letting us invade your home!
The Acorn choir sang beautifully on 4th. April, as did Angel Tongue. A super evening that raised over £500.A big thank you to Mike and Ruth for book sales that raised a further £436 which would have been more but someone stole the' honesty' pot ! Love and thanks to Biddy Picard for the proceeds of a drawing and taking me past the target.
