On the 2nd July, our kitchen assistant and pensioner extraordinaire Jean Sowter is taking part in Childline's "Pub Parachute Challenge".  Jean will be jumping from an aeroplane at the dizzy heights of 10,000 feet (about 2 miles!) and freefalling at 120mph before her parachute opens (hopefully!!) allowing her to land safely. No mean feat for a lady in her 60s!

Over the last 20 years Childline has helped almost two million children and currently takes calls from around 2,500 children every day. Childline's 20th birthday goal is to raise £20 million this year so that theycan increase the number of children they help by 1000 more children every day over the next two years.
