Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
Lovely Rose, Andrew and Sarah’s seven year old niece, was diagnosed nearly a year ago with osteosarcoma in her femur. After nine months of chemotherapy and a big operation replacing cancerous bone with a metal prosthesis Rose is in remission and is slowly learning to walk again. Around 30 children a year in the UK are diagnosed with osteosarcoma and, with no government funding available for research, they rely on independently funded research projects into finding a cure. This takes lots of money! We are running the Reading HalfMarathon on 29th March 2009 and would love you to sponsor us to help raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust so they can help children just like Rose. You can read Rose’s story at www.ouramazingrose.blogspot.com
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bone Cancer Research Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
