Story

When my sister had her twins at 29 weeks 3 years ago now it was a upsetting and scary time for the whole family but most especially for her and her husband. When the littlest one got transferred to Liverpool for surgery they had 2 tiny and very poorly babies fighting for life at 2 different hositals. We could only be thankful that both hospitals had the facilities for them to stay. Those babies never spent a night without at least one of their parents being close by. Both fighting fit and totally beautiful now, I will never unerestimate how important it is both for the parents, and for those tiny babies who endure so much, that we provide the facility for parents to stay close to their little ones.

That's why I'm so keen to help make that a reality at Royal Preston Hospital. With an expanded neonatal unit accepting babies transferred from across the country the need for a home-from-home for those parents, and for those who struggle with transport, and for those who just want to be close at hand when their tiny tot is fighting for life, is phenomenal.

Please, please be generous.
