Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am taking part in the Mazda London Triathlon (Olympic distance) on the 2 August.  It involves a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run.

I am fundraising for New College Worcester (NCW) in admiration of my God Mother who is THE most amazing person I have ever met.  Janet began to loose her sight at an early age and unfortunately she had lost all sight by her early 20's.  She was a student at Chorley Wood college (which in 1987 emalgamated with Worcester college to create NCW)  and went on to study Physiotherapy. She worked for 40 years as a physio all over London tackling the London transport system on a regular basis! She now donates her time to work with NCW.

New College Worcester is for students who are blind or partially sighted.  The college offers the full range of National Curriculum subjects as well as a variety of leisure activities.  The college, importantly, supports each student to improve independence and confidence in the 'sighted world'.  So I hope you will agree...a worthy cause.

So...triathlon...an odd choice for some one who swims like a brick.....wish me luck and PLEASE give what you can.

Many thanks

Rosie
