I have decicded to make 2010 a year to remember and what better way than helping to raise money for a charity that is close to my heart; Bassetlaw Hospice in Retford is a small centre which has helped both my Aunt and Grandmother in their sadly unsuccessful battle with cancer. 

Bassetlaw Hospice has room for up to 10 day visitors and 6 in patients at a time.  They have a catchment of 119,000 people and apart from the medical expenses they receive no funding from the government. Wanting to give something back to the Hospice I decided to that fundraising was the way for me however, my baking isn't completely up to scratch and I couldn't make a chutney to save my life.  Seeing as I have two fairly normal legs, running seems the obvious option (however for those of you that know me you'll know there is nothing obvious about Rosie and running!)

My plan is simple - Over the next 12 months I want to complete at least three 10k runs and hopefully run the coastal half marathon in February 2011.  The first race is on Sunday 21st March at The Annual Lincoln 10k Road Race.
