Brilliant news: Thomas Carroll have added another £50 offline bringing the total to £680.
Donations can still be made until August 1st
Thanks too to Andrea and Vicky who have brought the total to almost £700 now - it would be great to get to a nice round figure!!
Hello there!
Having cycled from John O' Groats to Land's End two years ago, I am now back in the saddle to cycle from the north to the south of France.
I will be leaving on the 24th May and completing my journey on 2nd June.
It would be great if you could encourage me on my way as I pound those miles of hot tarmac by making a donation to ME Research UK to help them in their quest to understand and treat ME.
As many of you may know, my wife, Rosie, has had ME for most of her life, and contributing to MERUK funding may mean that one day she too can see a bit more of the world!
I haven't set a fundraising target: so go on, surprise me and make my year ![]()
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ME Research UK (ME Research Group For Education And Support, MERGE) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.

The Tour has commenced! Got an earlier than arranged ferry from Dover and the first leg is from Calais to Arras!
Arrived at Arras but after a bit of a disaster with the back tyre blowing out!!!
Day 2: Arras to Chateau Thierry. Had an unexpected lunch with a french family en-route! Great to see the total is almost hitting the £400 mark!!![]()
Day 3: Chateau Thierry to Chatillion sur Seine.
Day 4: C.s.S to Tournas. Apologies to everyone expecting my daily travel log - gremlins in the equipment!!!!! Hope to send them through eventually.
Day 5: Tournas to Tournon sur Rhone. This was a long and hard slog!!!!
Day 6: T s R to Avignon, and then a rest for a day!!! Arrived at lunchtime, and now have a day off to look forward to.
Day 7 (Friday): Day off at Avignon - bit of R&R. OK, so I know I'm having an easy day today
- but we only have 2 more days before sponsorship ends - so if anyone wants to add to this great total: now's your chance!!!!
Very many thanks to all who have donated thus far - this money really is going to a place where it can potentially make a huge difference to people with authentic neurological ME: BRILL
Day 8 Saturday): Avignon to Montpelier. Last day in the saddle
. Reach the Med by lunctime. Great to see the enigmatic 'me' has taken the total to £500
.
You can still donate until 2nd August apparently, but we have a total over £600 now - which is great. Thanks to all who have donated!
