We reach out to women street sex-working in Bristol. We support them to move from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. Wherever they are in their journeys, we give love and practical support. Our vision is of a world where all women are safe, feel loved and thrive.

Story

The Charity:

One25 is a charity based in Bristol that works to help street based sex workers in so many ways.  I'm currently volunteering there and have been lucky enough to see some of the amazing work they do. Many women rely on One25's services and One25 relies on public support.  Watch the video to find out more, and please support them!

The Race:

Anyone who even vaguely knows me will know how out of character running is for me.  Along with any form of activity involving exercise, or not sitting on a sofa watching a DVD.  So why am I putting myself through a 10 mile race?  Well it all comes down to a promise made to my family after a couple of glasses of wine, and I'm not one to go back on my word.  So in about three weeks' time I'll be attempting a 10 mile race, and will probably be coming last.  But to make the whole experience worthwhile, please please sponsor me and support One25.

I can't promise to run it very quickly.  In fact when I started training I could barely run 1 mile let alone 10.  But over the weeks I have slowly come to a groundbreaking personal realisation, which is that in future if I make any promises to engage in sporting events after a glass of wine, it doesn't count!

One25 reaches out to one of the most marginalised groups in our society when noone else will, so please support their work.  Thank you!
