5K Santa Run 2009 · 6 December 2009 ·

The Motability Scheme helps 650,000 disabled people in the UK by leasing them a suitable and affordable car, powered wheelchair or scooter. Motability, as a charity helps around 8,000 Scheme customers each year who cannot afford the vehicles, adaptations or driving lessons they need.

Story

I am running 5K on the 6th of December in greenwich park.

I know its close to christmas but if you can please sponsor me every little helps

Why am I dressing up in a Santa costume and running 5km around Greenwich Park this Christmas…?

Why I need you to sponsor me to do this..?

9 year old Chloe is one of these people she has arthrogyprosis. Chloe loves singing, dancing and acting and performs on stage in both amateur and professional productions. Her adapted Motability car has meant she can travel with her powered wheelchair so she can use it at school, classes and rehearsals. Chloe says “We can all go out as a family with my powered wheelchair and I don’t have to rely on my mam & dad to push me as I can control myself”

Motability helped Chloe’s parents purchase a Chrysler Voyager; a vehicle chosen specifically because it has enough room for Chloe’s powered wheelchair. Plus, it has sliding doors that allow the car to be parked in a standard parking space and get the chair in and out with relative ease. Motability also adapted the vehicle by adding portable ramps and straps to fasten the wheelchair securely once inside. This has an added benefit: Chloe can now sit in the middle seat section along with her brother and sister.

Every pound you raise will help another person like Chloe…...please support me if you can.

Thank you.
