The Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) is committed to the conservation and welfare of critically endangered Sumatran orangutans and their rainforest habitat. There are now less than 6,650 Sumatran orangutans remaining in the wild. Unless urgent action is taken, they may be the first Great Ape to go extinct.

My story

In a post London Marathon heat of the moment, we've decided to do a 10k run in London. Not only does your hard earned cash make us feel good, you'll also be saving lots of our ginger relatives.

Sumatran orangutans are critically endangered! Habitat loss and poaching are pushing them towards imminent extinction. Every minute, every day an area equal to six football fields of Indonesian forest disappears!
