Story

Some of you might have spotted one of us hobbling around over the past few days ….. You may have stopped for a moment and thought…. “I wonder if Katy/Ross/Michael has just run 26km!?”

Well…. That would have been a damn good guess because we did it!!!  Yey!!!

Last Sunday, Katy, Ross and Michael completed the 26 km run from Nottingham to (all be it with a couple of injuries)

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for sponsoring us. We have had a fantastic response and all three of us really appreciate all of the support that you have all given us,

Thank you very much,

Katy, Ross & Michael

Yes that’s right folks we are doing it again, dragging our carcasses over a ridiculous amount of miles!!

On March 14th Ross, Katy and Michael will be taking part in the first ever kilo-marathon in aid of the Lymphoma Association.

What is a Kilo-marathon I hear you ask!??

It is a 26Km run from Nottingham to …..

Are you mad I hear you ask?

Yes we are but hey hoe it’s a damn good cause!!

Lymphoma- the facts!

- Lymphomas are cancers of the lymphatic system and are classified as Hodgkin lymphoma or non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The cause of lymphoma is unknown.

    - In the , lymphoma is the 6th most common cancer diagnosed and the most common cancer affecting the under 30 age group.
      - More than 1600 new cases of Hodgkin lymphoma and around 10500 new cases of non Hodgkin lymphoma are diagnosed each year in the .

      - The incidences of non-Hodgkin lymphoma are rising steadily year on year and there is no explanation for this.

        - Around 60000 people in the are currently living with the illness.

As you can see from the facts and figures this is an exceptionally good cause.

Unfortunately the research into this type of cancer is severely underfunded and there is not a great awareness regarding the cancer. We are looking for sponsorship for our run to support the cause and help raise awareness of this type of cancer. This charity has extra significance to Ross and Katy as they provided much needed support for Ross when he was diagnosed with Lymphoma back in 2007 and for Katy's mum Gill when she was diagnosed.

If you have any pennies to spare and you would like to support the cause your donations would be much appreciated.
