After reading several UCAS Personal Statements of our Sixth Form students it became clear just how many of them were choosing their future career paths based on how their experiences with cancer have affected their lives.

As a school, we have decided to support our students by entering a mixed team of 40 staff members and students to run the City of Newport Half Marathon to raise funds for Velindre Cancer Care, who have been personally involved in the care of our family members and friends.

We are all of varying fitness levels so this will be a real challenge for all of us, so please be as generous as you can and support this very worthy cause.
