Story
We are doing this bike ride for many people including John (my Dad), for being an amazing man and my teenage niece Katy, for coping with a difficult illness at a turbulent time in life!
John was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease about 2 years ago and he still walks the Keswick to Barrow every year and walked the West Highland Way in May. He's been really ill over the last few months and it's taken a lot out of him. We want to help Parkinson's UK help people like my Dad and many others have a better quality of life.
Katy (who is 15 and cycling with us) is diabetic, we are raising funds for Diabetes UK and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We want to help these organisations to continue to help others.
Katy has been diabetic since she was 8, at times it's been very tough for her. But like Grandad John, she's got courage and determination in buckets x
We are heading off around Eden district in Cumbria on our bikes on Saturday 10th September. It's 112 miles in a day.... Please help us raise money to support the many people that need it, including my AMAZING Dad and niece.
There is a team of us heading out to complete this challenge.
Our charities are linked together on our team page, this is the link - www.justgiving.com/teams/roundedenonabike
Thank you x
