A motorcycle ride starting on Dec 23rd 09, and finishing on 2nd Jan 10, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and The Christie Hospital Manchester. The trip is some 4800 miles around the UK mainland coastline, I plan to do it in 10 days.
I am NOT collecting cash but asking for online donations to the specific charity.
I chose this time of year because people will be off work and will do anything to get their bikes out over the Xmas break, thus meeting up, riding and supporting me en-route.
On a more serious note, I am prepared to give up this time of the year for this cause, I lost my father and sister to this hideous disease and now as a Cancer survivor myself and having been rendered disabled by it, this trip will be very uncomfortable and difficult, so whilst you are snoozing by the fire after a huge Xmas lunch, I could be battling through a snowstorm in Scotland.
Please support this event by donating as much or as little as you can, every pound will go to fighting this hideous disease and will help countless people in the future.
