Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

There are 700 people diagnosed with diabetes in the UK every single day! Diabetes can not only impact the individuals life, but the lives of their families and people around them. Personally I have seen this take it's toll on my brother's life as he suffers with Type 1 diabetes. The painstaking process of injecting every day and keeping yourself in check. The impact that diabetes can have on body function in particular eyesight can be really heartbreaking. I'm hoping that by not only raising money for research but awareness, the general public may become more aware of this frustrating and in some cases debilitating illness.

This is for my brother whom I love and who struggles with this illness every day.

Why 210km? 700 people diagnosed with diabetes in the UK everyday and if they reduce their body weight by 10% it can greatly improve bloody sugar levels. So, I am going to row 10m for every single person that is diagnosed with diabetes in the UK every day in April. This is going to be SAVAGE so any and all support/motivation is welcomed.
