Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page.

The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) were looking for riders to complete the London to Paris cycle challenge and in a moment of weakness I agreed. Simon signed up believing that it was a gentle cycle over 2 weeks stopping at Michelin star restaurants along the way, whilst dad only agreed after 4 Jack Daniels and coke! It is in fact 300 miles over 4 days without a tasting menu in sight!

This charity is one that is very close to my heart supporting those with retinoblastoma, which I had aged 3. It provides vital support for patients and familes. For a parent, finding out that your child has cancer and may loose their eyesight is devastating and the charity funds support workers who help families at this difficult time. They also provide practical support, advice and information. The charity was not established when I was diagnosed but if it had been my family would have benefited enormously.

CHECT also fund research into retinoblastoma and aim to raise awareness with both health professionals and the public.

We would be grateful for any help in making our target.

Thanks Rowan, Simon and David/Dad xx
