Story
As you might recall, I undertook a sponsored trek this year to help Sense International the only UK charity wholly focused on children in the 'poorer countries' who suffer from the dual disability of being both deaf and blind. I don't think any of us can imagine what this might be like - and these children must rank as being the most seriously disadvantaged in the world. While I think it is nigh impossible for a charity to fundamentally impact global poverty, we can make a serious difference to the lives of these children.
For instance, £100 keeps a child in one of Sense's schools in India for a year. (They have 30 schools there, but there are an estimated 400,000 deaf blind people. They are also in Latin America, East Africa, Bangladesh, Romania, RussiaThank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sense International will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now! Many thanks for your support.
