Story

well tomorrow is the big day. I marry my love and shave my hair for cancer research. I will be bald and proud.
thank you one and all for helping me from spreading the word to sponsoring me. xxx
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My self and my future husband have both suffered the loss of a loved one due to cancer and this is just a little about what they meant to us and the memories they left. We are just glad that we can help future research get closer to finding a cure so that other people can get more time with their loved ones.
My nanan was very special to me, I remember going to her house and watching teenage mutant ninja turtles, sitting with her chow chow dog and eating loads of buttery toast. I remember her giving me her last £1.50 for a school trip to Sherwood forest, just so I had a bit of spending money. My nanan really was THE kindest woman to ever walk this world. She donated to charities and to the homeless and she never had a bad word against anybody.
My papa will always be held deeply in my heart, the memories he has left me with fill my heart with joy, I called my first born son after him and my father in honour of the family tradition. He was a well known guy and well liked by many, turned his hand at any job from building work to woolen mills. When he was not working he would be walking his dogs and DIY round the house. My papa was good with DIY and i remember him showing me how to make a wooden sword, I still have a large toy box he made me many many moons ago. We would walk round the hills of the scottish borders with the dogs. He would always have us out in the fresh air. He has left me with so many memories i could carry on all day but I will leave you with this A poem i wrote for him in memory for his birthday nearly 2 years ago.
would like to make one phone call,
please god just one,
to wish my grandad,
who sadly past,
but before that brought me much fun,
today would have been his birthday,
so i would just like to say,
happy birthday grandad,
i still think of you every day,
my love for you is true,
so will never go away,
so till our chain links once more,
in my memories you will stay..........
