Story
I recently completed the Paris Marathon in a time of 3 hrs 28 mins, which I am very pleased with ! Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me and to those who have not yet, there is still time !
On 1/1/07 I was involved in an unprovoked attack which resulted in me breaking several bones and more seriously rupturing my pancreas, which proved life threatening.
Initially I was treated at ICU QEQM Hospital in Margate before being transferred to the Liver ICU department at Kings College Hospital. In total I spent 49 days in hospital, the majority of which was spent at Kings. I had 4 major operations, the first being the life saving one that resulted in the tail of my pancreas and my spleen being removed.
After spending 11 months of 2007 off sick I am now back at work full time as a Physical Trainer in the Royal Navy. Although I am currently downgraded, I hope to be back to full service soon and able to continue my career within the Armed Forces.
To that end I felt I wanted to do more than just say thank you, so I am going to run the Paris Marathon to raise money for both hospitals. So please dig deep and sponsor me generously as I hope to raise £10k.
Thank you for reading my story and I look forward to your sponsor.
