Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Well, that was fun :-)

After a very chilly morning, it was quite warm for the run.  And, of course, it was very busy, with 50,000 people running the course, so I'll gloss over the time if you don't mind.  Just too many people slower than us, yet mysteriously in front...

Actually, we beat two hours, which was my son Shaun's unambitious (I thought) target, but not by much.  My target was nearer one hour forty-five, but one hour fifty would have satisfied me. Shaun could have easily run a lot faster but he had a better idea of how crowded it would be than I did!

Anyway, although the event has passed, your opportunity to donate to MS Society has not.  You can still do so, via this website.

If you know me you may know that my father had MS for many years, so this cause is dear to my heart.  Last autumn, I ran the Felixstowe half marathon with Shaun, to celebrate my 50th birthday.

He was with me again this year , running for Mencap, another very deserving charity.

Donating through this site is simple and fast (a little like me) and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way for you to sponsor me: MS Society will receive your money much faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please donate now.

Many many thanks for your support.
