Last year, I set myself the challenge of running the London Marathon ... I thought I was up to the challenge having run 2 half marathons in a few 10ks in 2008 but injury struck in early February and just wouldn't go away!! It was really frustrating but in early March, I had to face the fact that the marathon was just not going to happen ... even by April, I could only run about 4 miles.

SO! Here I am again ... having gingerly built up the miles on a long run to 10 ... and was 'delighted' to run the Wimborne 10 and Great South Run in October. I'll be taking part in that marathon, even if I have to hobble all the 26.2 miles round it this year!

I'm running for Round Table Children's Wish who grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. It's a fantastic charity and it's been a privilege getting to know the girls that work there over the last 12 months and learn about the amazing work that they are able to do with donations ...
