Woking & Sam Beare Hospice is a charity that delivers specialist palliative care to adult patients of all ages who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses in the North West Surrey region, providing free of charge holistic care and support services both in our hospice and in homes.

Story

Those of you who have known me for a long time might be surprised to see this page! I have never been known to be a runner. In fact, I only learned how to run this year. That sounds daft at the age of 27 but it's true. In late March, I put on my trainers and nervously stepped out the door, listening to the first Couch to 5k podcast. I never really believed I would be able to do it. However, slowly but surely, I realised I was capable of not only running but sometimes enjoying it too!

Running in the summer was great - I even managed to go before school quite often! Training in the winter is a lot harder and so I have chosen this challenge to motivate me through.

I am running as part of Team Woking High, raising money for Woking Hospice. Anything you can offer will be much appreciated by myself and the charity.
