My personal message:

Hi I'm Rachel Fisher and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Many of you may not know me personally but are visiting my page because you want to support my chosen charity RSI Action.   Like many people I have chosen to support a charity that has personal significance.

I have seen my dad struggle with the affects of this condition. From being very active and hard woking, his RSI injury caused by his computer work, left him unable to use a computer, dial a telephone or drive, and within weeks he could no longer work. At one point he was unable to walk. The NHS could not offer him treatment. Now over six years later, and after spending over £11,000.00 on private treatment, he still has to be very careful how he manages his activities.

However my dad is lucky he had a good pension scheme and supportive family, many others are not so fortunate. They cannot afford private treatment, are unable to claim incapacity benefits, are incapable of returning to work and find daily living difficult.

RSI Action is campaigning for the government and the medical profession to properly recognize RSI conditions, to prevent workers and children being chronically injured, and to ensure that effective medical treatment for those that do get injured is available under the NHS.

So please sponsor me and help me to raise much needed funds for RSI Action!

Rachel
