We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

With the London Marathon taking most people's charitable donations, I thought I'd need to do something different.

As I showed last year, anyone can run a marathon, so I've decided to run every version of them – for a total of 108 miles – and do so in under a day (cumulatively of course…). That is:

19 February: The Brighton Half Marathon (13.1 miles or 21 kms)
15 April: The EdinburghMarathon (26.2 miles or 42 kms)
- 23 June: The Hadrian's Wall Ultra Marathon (69 miles or 111 kms)

So rather than asking you to dig deep to sponsor me to run a marathon, dig even deeper for this amazing value for money proposition!!!

The Alzheimer's Society is the leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 750,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2021.

Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Society's fight for a better world for people with all types of dementia takes a wide range of forms. Through a network of local services, they touch the lives of over 30,000 people every week, providing practical services and support for people with dementia and their carers. Every year, more than a million people make use of the information they provide.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
