Unfortunately Cancer is something that has affected most people in one way or another. For those of you that don't know, my Mum died of Cancer when I was younger. It's an all too common story. Running the Marathon is a lifelong goal of mine, but the reward will mean much more than personal satisfaction. The money raised and the people that will be helped as a result of me running a few miles will be well worth the pain, and eclipse the feeling of euphoria as I cross the finish line in 4 months time. It's going to be a massive challenge, but a challenge that I'm excited to conquer. Time to pull those running shoes on and get training!
